Tay Major is a senior nursing student at CT State Northwestern in Winsted, Connecticut, where she serves as Vice President of the Student Nurses Association. She also works as a Patient Care Technician on a pulmonary care unit at Yale New Haven Hospital. Her dedication to caring for others began early through volunteering at her church’s shelter and soup kitchen, supporting her younger siblings, and now serving as a full-time caregiver for her niece and nephew. Tay brings compassion and resilience to her nursing journey and aspires to become a well-rounded travel nurse, embracing both the clinical challenges of the role and the meaningful human connections it fosters across diverse communities.
